Call for Submissions

Whispers and Echoes is currently open to submissions of poetry in 10 lines or under, or flash fiction in 100 words or less, on any theme.  Our submissions guidelines can be found on our Submit page.

If you prefer writing to a theme, we are also open to submissions of poetry and flash fiction (lengths same as above) for our current theme, “Love”.

More Flash Fiction Please! (But we love poetry too!)

Whispers and Echoes has been posting submissions every Monday and Friday now for six weeks and I’m overjoyed with the quality of poetry and flash fiction that has made its way into the inbox.  (You can read the latest additions to the journal here, or use the “poetry” and “flash fiction” links on the menu at the top of the page, and see for yourself.  Enjoy!)

One thing I’ve noticed is that three-quarters of submissions have been poetry, meaning the journal is light on flash fiction.  So this is just an encouraging nudge to those who have been thinking of submitting their flash but for whatever reason, have yet to do so.  Please send them in because I really, really, really, want to read them! 🙂

Don’t worry – if you still want to submit poetry and only poetry, please do.  I still want to read that too 🙂
