Endless Evenings – A Haibun | RedCat

The daylight is searing bright. The evenings are getting endless. There is no true night, only paler light. Soon dusk meets dawn in endless days. Only the sun and it’s rays. Morning, noon and midnight. Sleep is harder to come by in the endless light. The mind has trouble distinguishing day from night. Until the tired body wins the fight. And sleep comes with dreams of endless light.

As Midsummer nears
Heart and soul grows light restless
Sun energies flow

Summer Sky | RedCat

Tonight I dream of summer sky

Of of flying free, never asking why

All trouble vanish there up high

Where lovely birds sang trilling lullaby

Oh, come soar sweet warm summer sky

May Queen & Summer King | RedCat

The Summer King cometh
Bearing the Moon upon his horns
Tribute to his Goddess, she who birth’s the season reborn

The fair May Queen cometh
Meadow flowers in flaming hair
Flushed with summer passion, for her earthly consort to share

Together worshipping
Souls sharing true loves full delight
Breath mingling, power flow
Magic of Midsummer’s night glow
