Shadowed Empath | Cheryl Wood

Monochrome beauty

Have you lost your way

Discouraged by these tiring days?

Have faith, the clouds will soon depart

Colorful wings will show your heart

No grey camouflage then needed

The sun will out, your brilliance heeded.

The Shirt | Cheryl Wood

unexpected tears

when searching his bureau

feeling the flannel

I am a widow, mother of three grown children, grandmother and blogger.  I find writing is cathartic, being able to express myself in words I cannot speak aloud. This poem is about my husband’s favorite shirt which I gave to my oldest granddaughter recuperating after surgery.
