Farewell | Gypsie-Ami Offenbacher-Ferris

Farewell to you leaf of my branch,

the sun is gone and your work is done.

.

A fine job you did this Spring,

helped me grow and add a ring.

.

A mighty tree I grew so strong,

you a sprout I could not do without.

.

Awoke me from my Winter’s slumber,

fed me well all through the Summer.

.

The other leaves have gone to ground,

you did your best now find your rest.

Hang On | Gypsie-Ami Offenbacher-Ferris

Hang on don’t let go

don’t drop too fast

you are the last

last to fall

save us

all

Flying High | Ami (Gypsie) Offenbacher-Ferris

To fly up high in the sky like a kite

would be so very sublime

.

Higher and higher I would go until barely my tail would show

.

Up into a sky so blue leaving the land far below within fluffy white clouds above

.

And kites of every size like me

waiting patiently to be set free

Early Tulips | Ami (Gypsie) Offenbacher-Ferris

quiet laughter whirred the mists

tips of early blooming tulips

shouldered through the

blur of old snow drifts

stretched to touch the dawn

returning to turn off

the cold weather months

and welcome once again

Spring!

Rat-a-Tat-Tat-Tat | Ami (Gypsie) Offenbacher-Ferris

Rat-a-Tat-Tat-Tat – The woodpecker taps spring is come again along the flowing streams of melted snow

Fun has just begun for one and for all crowed the big black crow

.

Rat-a-Tat-Tat-Tat – Serenaded the

melodiously tiny little red tailed woodpecker as warm air tickled his

feathers and soothed his poor sore aching beak

Metamorphosis | Ami (Gypsie) Offenbacher-Ferris

One step, two step, three and more

Takes us through that hidden door

How am I supposed to fly?

Legs and body no wings have I

.

Oblivion waits beyond that portal

Awake or asleep you’ll become immortal

Don’t hesitate with wings unfurled

Release them now behold the world
