Flashback | Kerfe Roig

The memory of it is unclear
but does it really matter what
is true after all these years?
What is the use of insisting
that this vision was stolen,
not lived, or that your real life
consists of stories that never
happened to anyone at all?
Winter always arrives before
we have had time to prepare.

The Wild Road | Rohini

Beneath my feet, the earth exhales,
a hush before the leap begins.
The bridge hums soft with memory,
each plank a pulse of courage.
Branches beckon, shadows part,

the unknown sings my name.
I trade the safe for something fierce,
the steady path for flame and wind.
My spirit blooms where fear unraveled,
upon the road less traveled.

Rohini is a daydreamer, artist, and storyteller who paints with words and colors alike. In her cozy corner of the internet, she weaves tales of romance, curiosity, and laughter, inviting fellow dreamers, book lovers, and music wanderers to explore life’s beauty through stories, art, and heartfelt musings.

Raw | Kerfe Roig

Shadows are seen best in winter
when the light is stingy –not sheer,
these castings of the chilled sun,
but slow and methodical.  They do
not turn suddenly or forget to stand
beside me as I search the land
for some refuge from the cold. They
let me know I exist when nothing
embraces me but the north wind,
the frosted bare silence of the trees.

The Act | Lynn White

I’m dreaming now,

The orchestra are tuned up

dressed so as not to distract

from the on stage drama

dressed for invisibility.

And those on stage are

dressed for performance

dressed to be noticed

dressed to be seen.

Then they go home

and play at life.

the bridge | Britta Benson

from here to there

so much easier to build

than a link from me to you

the distance

negligible

and yet

there are miles and miles

of misunderstandings

in an arm’s length of wishes

Bloodletter | K.G. Munro

I am the medicine for his insanity

My name stains his letters. Inescapable.

Irreplaceable. Just haemoglobin.

For his shadows that linger on

As he takes a sip from the cusp of my skin

Draining my life so that he can live

Using his tears to write me letters

His own blood paints my initials

He wears a wig; I wear a bible

Wedding ring gone. He is mine – a lamb.

K.G. Munro is an Author and Poet from Scotland. She has been published in a multitude of publications, galleries, and interviews. Her novel, A Suitcase To South Korea, is a contemporary romance novel that showcases her remarkable storytelling.

Bed Time | Lynn White

I’m dreaming now,

each dream an effigy of a time

my time

my past time.

Now,

awake or asleep

I’m disoriented

sleepwalking into uncertainty

as the full moon approaches.

the bridge | Britta Benson

from here to there

on smooth wooden planks

utterly feasible, no excuses

step after step straight ahead

and still something feels off

this, not my path

this, not my journey

I need to deviate

get my boots dirty

find my own way home
