wishes, like watercolour
paintings, left in the sun
fading like old
newspaper, ravaged by
the passing of time
.
they come and go
these wishes and wants
changing with the seasons
replaced by shiny new
hopes and dreams
.
yet the old ones linger
like memories
faded, yes
but not forgotten
