Wishes | Sammi Cox

wishes, like watercolour

paintings, left in the sun

fading like old

newspaper, ravaged by

the passing of time

.

they come and go

these wishes and wants

changing with the seasons

replaced by shiny new

hopes and dreams

.

yet the old ones linger

like memories

faded, yes

but not forgotten
