A kaleidoscope, family of three
each day a different scenery
senseless but beautiful it always seemed.
Came a time, the two mirrors broke
not suddenly but blow by blow.
Now, a fixed image
on the remaining third
of a child masking the very cut
in which he dumped all the sharps,
broken pieces and stitched shut.
