Attic | McKenzie Richardson

I was kept in a box in the attic
with certificates, medals, and awards
to preserve my life / my every achievement
never to be looked at again
stacked up with junk mail and garbage
and years of living a life
but if you keep everything
nothing is really special anymore.

If you keep me in a box,
how can I ever really live?
